Staxx Cordero
Staxx Cordero born to the world as Reishon Denise Cordero is of West Indian and Dominican descent. Her introduction to the stage began at the age of 10, with an Elementary School performance. At age 11 she became a member of the Repertory Dance Company of East Harlem, and became well rounded with ballet, modern, and African Dance. The dance company awakened the actress in her, choreography introduced her to character development, and performances taught her to bring an audience to their feet. Staxx attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS aka Performing Arts as a Drama major. Staxx has been featured on Comedy Central in two film shorts, and a feature film on BET Starz, “A love story.” The off Broadway theater community embraced her as she has had lead roles in “The Diva and the rapper,” “Cooking with grease,” Audelco nominated “Circumstances,” and “Conversations,” along with a host of short plays and staged readings.
Staxx aka Pink Pantha is Co-CEO and Owner of AIR IT OUT SHOW LLC. The energetic and addictive “Air It Out Show,” began as an internet radio show and is slowly becoming a Youtube.com sensation.
.As a budding hip hop artist Staxx performed multiple times at the World famous Apollo Theater, as well as “Showtime at the Apollo.” Her performance earned her a place on “Best of Showtime at the Apollo,” as one of the best to ever grace the Apollo stage. Her writing was utilized in creating a skit on black inventors for Heavy D with McDonalds for black history month. She was privileged to write the title track “Legacy,” for Mc Lyte and D Nice on “The legacy of Black music,” executive produced by Miller Genuine Draft. Her voice earned her a regional commercial, “The Jamizon,” with Miller Lite. Staxx has had the pleasure of being the opening act for 3RD Bass, Busta Rhymes, KRS 1, Rakim, Special Ed, Noreaga, and Naughty by Nature. She has also lent her voice to collaborative works with Gerald Albright, Rakim, Big Pun, Trey Songz, Allure and a host of independent artists. Available on youtube.com and in digital stores are several songs produced by Platinum producer and Billboard award winner “D Moet” are “Ghetto fried chicken,” a party song which is catchy and sure to have you singing along and “I’m looking for my.” I’m looking for my, is a touching song about her first love, featuring the lovely Gold recording female group, Allure.

Paying closer attention to her gift of writing, Ms. Cordero is now approaching two years of success with the production her phenomenal off Broadway play “Poor Girl, Rich Girl.” Poor girl, Rich girl, is a mixture of Staxx, on stage from songwriting to step routines and her clever and witty style laced on every page of the script. It would also be the debut of Ms. Cordero as a producer and director. Staxx is excited every time the curtain rises and closes with a standing ovation from a satisfied audience. Staxx is currently trying her hand at film making with a thriller entitled “Dear God.” What began as a short film is slowly becoming a feature following the tremendous response during a premiere showing of the short film.
In continuing to soar with her love of writing, Staxx recently signed with TPL Publications as its Chief Editor and co-owner. She hopes to bring out the best in writers fiction or nonfiction in 2015 and beyond!
